Plex app will not load any more on Samsung smarthub

As of this morning the Plex app on my Samsung tv stopped loading. I just get the splash screen with the animated dots for about a minute and then it exits out. PMS is running ok. I can reach it from other devices. I can even browse the server through the DLNA connection on the TV, so it’s reachable on the internet.

I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling it on the TV but get the exact same result: splash screen and then nothing. Which to me says it’s not the PMS since I can’t even load the app to set it up.

Any help would be appreciated.

PMS: v1.14.1.5488
TV: Samsung UN32J5500

UPDATE: turned off the Samsung Instant On setting for the TV. Turned off the TV for a few minutes, then back on and the Plex app loaded and took me through the linking process, so all good now.
