I seem to be able to get everything running and have had success starting a game, but I can’t find any way to successfully exiting a game without exiting the app. From that point, I can’t kill the game that was previously loaded, nor can I restart/resume the app or load any new games. Only way to fix it at this time seems to be to completely restart the PMS.
Really cool, and I’m a total not-tech guy and got it going easy enough, so thank you. Looking forward to seeing it progress!
Hello! Using the Nvidia Shield app, in the instance of inability to close the game. If I use the web app, there’s an X and that does close the game. But in either case, whether using the x to close out a game on Windows/Chrome or exiting the app altogether on Shield, I still can’t load another game without restarting the server. Thank you!
I’ll give that a shot, thank you for taking the time to answer such a simple/dumb question
Any thoughts on why I need to restart PMS after playing one game, though? Again, it happens on any platform (PC, web app, Shield, phone). After restarting PMS, game starts and plays. After leaving that game, though, trying to restart that same game or start another game just gives a spinning wheel. Restarting the PMS fixes it, for one game only.
So basically: play game, exit game, try to restart or play another game, spinning wheel, restart PMS, repeat
On Windows, Crtl+Alt+Sup… Kill the process “Plex game transcoder”.
Now you can choose another game without restart PMS.
(The only way that I found till now)
Are you using a PS4 Dual shock controller? We found out recently that this controller doesn’t send a “back” command which is what would exit the game. You’ll have to use your remote’s back button for now.
