Release notes for version: plexmediaserver_1.21.2.3939-3945797bd_amd64.deb Includes “Plex Arcade”. Is there any more information? EDIT: (H/T agnesnutter & Weirdomusic) Announcement below and info page here https://www.plex.tv/arcade/ [Plex Gaming]

Wasted my free trial since the Windows/MacOS server requirements are hidden in the FAQ and not on the main page where you subscribe.

Yup. As a user who runs a completely dockerized Plex system, the decision to launch without Linux support is absurd. I’ll be cancelling my trial immediately.

We’re working on updating our support articles and our main feature page. Plex Arcade does not currently work on Linux. Gaming works through our partnership with Parsec (why you need an account with them) and they do not support Linux. We hope this will change if we can show enough interest.

I get it… I use Parsec for network gaming over my LAN, but please make this a little more prominently displayed before we waste our trial on something we can’t use.

So… how do I actually get it to work? I signed up for the trial, followed the steps (including creating and linking a Parsec account), restarted the server just to be sure, but I still can’t find the Games options anywhere.

I know I’m probably nitpicking on this, but “No Tokens Required” is just the worst motto ever, because it implies this is free, and yet it requires you to pay a monthly fee, even if you have Plex Pass.

Ah, thanks! I was expecting to see it under the online media sources (News, Webshows, etc.) Edit: still don’t see the Atari stuff, even though I checked the option when creating a library, but I’ll dig a little deeper.

How do I link my Parsec account? I was going through the setup wizard and clicked the link to create a Parsec account, but now I can’t find a mechanism to go back and link my Parsec account. When I try to launch a game, it says I need to link my Parsec account, but how do I do that now? Anyone know?

Log in to plex.tv and go to your account. It’s under ‘Other Services’.

You have to create a new library for it.
