Plex as a Service - 64 Bit Version

Server Version#: 4.91.1
PlexMediaServer-1.29.0.6219-b1b4d4871-x86_64

I just installed the 64 bit version of Plex Media Server on Windows Server 2019. There was an app \ install package available to run “Plex as a service” for the 32 bit version. Is there a package available to run “Plex as a service” for the 64 bit version?

I tried to create one with PowerShell but can’t seem to get it to start. I found a third party app called “Always Up”. It works but costs $50.00. Would really appreciate some help from plex.

Thank You.

Why do you need a 64 bit version?

I’ve always had problems with it regardless, switched to ubuntu and everything has been flawless.

Because the 32 bit version does not work with the 64 bit media server…

Personally, I’m using https://nssm.cc/
But updating PMS is not as comfortable as with the other tool.

But I think the original tool has already been adapted to the 64 bit server: PMS as a service - #1139 by cjmurph
Maybe all you need to do is to update the tool itself.
