I currently have a library set to Plex Series Scanner using the Agent TheTVDB and plex is constantly asking to upgrade my library. When I do this the shows in this library (in my case Formula 1) change from “Episode 113·Abu Dhabi (Race)” to just “Episode 113” making it impossible to know what race I am selecting, how is that an upgrade or am I missing something?
You’ll probably want to set the Episode ordering in the show’s advanced options to TVDB (aired). The new agent is using metadata that’s aggregated from different sources by Plex. The default episode order is usually based on The Movie Database – if your show has totally different orders on those repositories, you might end up with Plex missing some of the metadata unless you specifically tell it what order to use.

Thank you for your reply, there is no problem with the order, the problem is when I upgrade the library the episode title is lost, in my case the names of the races.

It’s not so much if your episodes are properly ordered. It’s about if they’re ordered in accordance with the episode ordering used by the Plex TV Series agent and your particular library preferences (or in case you’ve overridden those on the show level).

- The default ordering used by Plex has s2022e113 listed as the Abu Dhabi race

- what’s the library default episode ordering once it’s updated to the

Thank you! I did not realize but tmdb was set as the agent instead of tvdb, all set using Plex TV Series now and Episode ording is TheTVDB and working perfectly! thank you for your detailed reply!
