I would guess that your IP is being published incorrectly to their pubsub list at plex.tv and when it reaches out to check validity the check fails.
The default settings also do not work. It is unavailable almost every 10 minutes, I have a doubt I moved my installation to another server, may be related to this?
How do I correct this?
I can ask @ChuckPA to look at your logs for clues
Now it is working perfectly, soon begins to lose remote access. I removed my entire library and added it again, thinking it would work, I thought it was corrupted. I moved her to ram, I’ve exhausted all possibilities. This can only be this ip problem on pubsub.
I have redacted your IPs and turning this thread public again. Others might have a better idea.
I hope that resolves. Tomorrow I answer here again. Thanks a lot for the help.
thon.souza i am having the same issue.
-No VPN
-manual port forward
-Spectrum ISP
-Remote access is available for 30 seconds then goes away.
this problem just started for me about a week ago. Connection is always Indirect/unsecure whether its Remote or LAN
frustrating
Yeah, I’ve done everything already got a new server thinking it was unavailability of the server, but it’s only PLEX that is unavailable. It started with an update I don’t remember which one to be precise. I already investigated everything. Now I think it might be pubsub, because it says I couldn’t connect securely. I am a user until we say that smart in linux. But I have exhausted all my possibilities. Let’s hope to solve.
i agree, it was since the last update that this issue started.
I have attempted to change the server IP and no dice. I’ll continue working as well and hopefully find a solution.
btw, have you attempted a roll back PMS version?
Yes I tried, but it seems no use once updated. The error persists.
Which Linux distro and what version of PMS is currently installed?
ah okay, noted
i am running on Windows 10 PC
Do you use LiveTV/DVR with PMS?
No i do not, havent explored that feature yet.
So to sum it up:
@thon.souza PMS v1.16.6.1592
@xxthrillxx PMS v1.16.5.1554
If you both rollback to an archived version and it works, then its going to be a regression in the code and not your networks
i can confirm this solution worked for me.
rolled back Version 1.16.2.1321
that seemed to lock in the remote connection
