I was reading around on the forums and I am slightly puzzled.
Would it not make more sense to post 0.7 beta releases out all the time for folks willing to “test” versions that are known to be buggy? I have been using 0.7 as if it were stable for a good bit now.
From what I have read about 0.7.x the devs are waiting until it is “mostly” stable, which to me would be a real 0.5.x (stable) etc. Just from my stand point it would be cool to see binaries being pushed out when ever something new pokes its head into 0.7.x just so folks like me can play a little with it and send back a lager pool of end user data.
just my 2 cents… now I shall troll around a bit more
We actually do smaller alphas of releases shortly before we push a release to the masses. Many times little “stupid” bugs that we miss always make it in. But in a whole 0.7.x is a one huge beta. Although usually features (like the ones coming up) are a couple weeks/months in the working and still aren’t even ready for some of the devs to even build.
