Plex buffer problem smart tv (new version app)

Hello, probably you have this issue, for a while, but i am struggling and i have no answer , i can’t fix, and i am ready to give up and buy an external hdd and do not use again PLEX.

So i am using SmartTV Samsung 2016 with Tizen OS and i have the plex from 2years, and everything worked well, till my smarttv auto update your Plex to version 3.84.3 and my trouble started there:
I’ve tested with several movies and same issue everytime.
After 10-20 minutes is buffering and after is back online the quality is lower, the subtitle is smaller, i have to quit PLEX for continue.
My file hoster is same from the begining, and my internet provider is same for at least 10 years. 500Mbps. Lan connection. My IP is dinamic so i can’t imagine i am under DDOS attack.

So i honestly beg you give me back my old tizen app.
Thank you

Server version: 1.9.6.4429

There is a problem with Samsung at present. Mine works on every other device apart from the tv. Been like it for a month now! Aparantly they are working on it. Honestly I am peed off now, no news of fix apart from “we are working on it”

I occasionally have the same issue. I have noticed that, even in direct play, the server will send a spike of info that the tv can not handle. The lan connection on the TV is only 100 mb. Why manufacturers don’t put in a gigbit is beyond me. If your videos have to be transcoded I’m sure you would see the issue a lot more.

I have just read they have sent the fix to Samsung. So we are just waiting for Samsung to release it.

Same problem here. Been using plex for years, stable everything just worked. Then suddenly plex auto updates on the TV and everything is just bad. Buffering issues, subtitle issues. If I pause and resume a movie subtitles work work, they come and go. Samething if I fast forward in a movie. That means of you were watching a movie and have to continue it later you will be missing subtitles.

And these problems have been going on for months

Same thing for me here. Q8FN on both Lan and 5GHz. PC is not maxed out on CPU or network but I get frequent non-stop buffering events.

Content I’m streaming is 4K with 28 MBPS bit rate. should be feasible. Suspecting software issue.
