Plex buffering on NAS Terramaster

ultimamente dopo aver reinstallato l’app Plex sul mio NAS Terramaster mi bufferizza spesso (ogni 10-20 min per 30 sec) durante la visione anche di film in qualità SD Avi 720.

Ho lasciato tutti i parametri di conversione/qualità impostati di default.

Potete darmi dei consigli per far sparire il difetto?

Prima funzionanva tutto egregiamente e non bufferizzava mai nemmeno con i video in 4K!!

Sono collegato con la mia tv 55" 4K sulla mia rete Gigabit al NAS…quindi niente WiFi, ma sono nelle condizioni migliori dal punto di vista harwdare

Before, everything worked fine and never buffered even with 4K videos !!

I am connected with my 55 "4K TV on my Gigabit network to the NAS … so no WiFi, but I am in the best condition from a harwdare point of view

Mi rispondo da solo avendo forse trovato e risolto il problema:

Andando in Impostazioni-Agente NAS-Rete

Inserire:

Interfaccia di rete preferita = eth0(192.168.x.x)

invece di “Qualsiasi” (default)

Facendo questo piccolo cambiamento ha smesso completamente di bufferizzare durante la riproduzione anche di filmati in 4K.

Sembra quasi che questa “forzatura” aiuti l’agente Plex del NAS ha comunicare in modo più veloce col NAS

I answer myself having perhaps found and solved the problem:

By going to Settings-NAS Agent-Network

To insert:

Preferred Network Interface = eth0 (192.168.x.x)

instead of “Any” (default)

Making this small change it completely stopped buffering when playing even 4K movies.

It almost seems like this “forcing” helps the NAS’s Plex agent communicate faster with the NAS
