Plex can not play any other audio file that is not the first choice

Server Version#:1.40.2.8395-c67dce28e
Player Version#:5.83.1
Platform Version: 10.0.25398.4478

Hello Guys,
I have this weird issue and i would like your thoughts on it.
Ok so i have the below machines for my setup:

Xbox one X as plex client
W10 PC for server. LGA2011v3 CPU with a GTX1970ti GPU.
Denon X1800HDAB receiver
Samsung S90C TV

So i can play anything and all formats ( except dolby vision ) but im ok with that.
My issue is that i can only play the 1st audio stream of any file. The rest of the audio files dont work.

Say i have a video ( doesnt matter resolution ) that has in this lineup order: a TrueHD file, a DTS-HD MA and an a DD+. Then the only playable file will be the TrueHD. The rest dont play.
If i use MKVToolnix for example and alter their lineup order and set DTS-HD MA to be first then that will play ok and the rest won’t.

Just FYI I have the same issue with Videos that have 2 audio files that are both DD+ for example but different language. But i have files with the same 2 same extension files that play ok both audio files but i havent pinpoint exactly as to why.!!

For settings on xbox i have the audio to output only through HDMI 7.1 uncompressed.
I also have all xbox navigation or usage sounds muted.

Here i would also like to say that i tried to set up the audio output to be only one kind, for example DTS-HD, but the xbox then will take whatever audio and transform it into DTS-HD format which is rather weird and also is wrong! I also noticed that if i set it like that and even if the player plays a video that has a legitimate DTS-HD stream the overall audio is again wrong. It shows as DTS-HD but the effect is weak and sounds like a DD for example, so i believe something is off by doing the audio like that.

Anyway ,long story short, this is my issue and i would be happy if someone knows a fix or a workaround for this.

Also i just noticed that when i play the 1st audio the background navigation sounds dont come through but when i play the problematic 2nd or other audio options then i can hear the xbox navigational sounds ( without the normal audio ). So this prob a bug rather than me doing something wrong

More observations, Player will play any sound that is the same filetype as the first audio. For example if the first audio is a DD+ type then It will happily play all DD+ formats, atmos or not, but it will fail in any DTS or TrueHD types

This has been an issue for quite some time. It would be really nice it it was added to the Known Issues and Limitations. Or if Plex would follow the default audio codec flag, it’s only been a suggestion since 2018.

HERE is the thread that caused me to do a lot of trial and error and come to the same conclusion. For me to have Atmos and DTS:X I had to remux everything to change codec order.

Thx Mark for responding with your feedback.
I solved my issue ,well sort of, by changing client and going HTPC way.
I’m using a laptop, using one hdmi for the audio and one usb-c to hdmi for the video.
I am doing this cause my machine can only output hdmi version 2.0b so when i have a big filesize with high bitrate movie playing and say a dolby trueHD track then all hell brakes loose and i see weird glitches happening. Sometimes the video part is not working ok and sometimes the audio.
So yeah I am in the process to change my computer to one that has an hdmi v2.1 now and hopefully all will be good but going HTPC i have solved all other issues, even PGS subtitles play without transcoding.
Only major thing i haven’t solved so far is if you choose HTPC is that you loose the CEC, Its the technology that you can control any other sources are connected to the TV with the TV’s remote control
