Plex and my hdhomerun have been working together fine for sometime, but recently stopped! Plex can not longer see the hdhomerun connect on my network. The device is on the network and other apps can see it without issue.
I suspect the issue started following a Plex update, but cannot be sure.
I’m now running Plex pass version 1.8.2.4209.
Has any one else got this issue? Is there a known solution?

For one Plex Pass is up to Version 1.8.4.4249 and do you have the latest Silicondust Firmware:20170815.?
Plex has “check for updates” grey’d out, so assumed this was the latest version.
I’ll update the hdhomerun firmware, never updated this, but never had the need to before.

The HDHomerun actually updates a lot, so I would try this first. What are you running the plex on?
HDhomerun update didn’t make any difference, but forcing an upgrade to the latest plex version did. 
Noticed, the new hdhomerun app performs a lot better on my network than hdhomerun via plex (for live TV), fat less dropouts.
Plex running on a Mac mini.

The HdHomerun APP performs better than any other DVR out there… but it is lacking in other areas.
I have the same problem
My plex server won’t see hdhomerun on my Mac on same network
Everything is upto date

@deadmangrant what version is your Plex Media Server? What version is the firmware on your HDHR? Can you see the HDHR on your network? Go to my.hdhomerun.com to verify.

Everyone says they are running the latest, until they actually post the version numbers. Is the site my.hdhomerun.com seeing your HDHR? Is there any firewall running that might be preventing access to the device?

I’ve also seen people try a different Web Browser and have success. Worth a try.
