Plex cant find my movie

Can someone tell me what is wrong with the Name of my 4k movie file as PMS does not show it on the list where as some does show.

This works:
Gladiator.2000.EXTENDED.2160p.UHD.BluRay.X265-IAMABLE
Deadpool - 2016 - 2160p - UHD 4K - DTS-HDMA 7.1 -DDR

These don’t:
The Mummy Returns (2001).2160p.BluRay.HEVC.DTS-X.7.1-COASTER
The Post (2017) 2160p.BluRay.HEVC.DTS-HD.MA.7.1-COASTER
The Shape of Water (2017).2160p.BluRay.HEVC.DTS-HD.MA.5.1-COASTER
The Shape of Water (2017).2160p.BluRay.HEVC.DTS-HD.MA.5.1-COASTER

Simple answer?

Too much crap in the name with 4 digit numbers to confuse it.

  1. Gladiator (2000) / Gladiator (2000) [2160p UHD BlueRay X265]
  2. Deadpool (2016) / Deadpool (2016) [any other comments invisible to PMS here]

The format is:

Name (year)/
Name (year) [ optional text only you see here ]
extras here in this folder for this movie named how you want them.

that didn’t seem to work…
I made the name change to
The Mummy Returns (2001)
I clicked on the ‘Movie’ folder > Scan Movie Folder
and it has been spinning for few hours (still spinning) and The Mummy Returns still does not show up

The Plex dance is often needed on any change.
. . . .

When you change anything to fix a match it is a good idea to “Plex dance” the files involved:

1 - Move the media to where Plex cannot see it
2 - Refresh the library
3 - Empty Trash
4 - Clean bundles
5 - Move the media back
6 - Refresh the library

Perform all steps in order and allow each one to finish before starting the next.
