Plex can't find my QNAP NAS after I signed out of Plex

PLEX isn’t syncing with my QNAP anymore, I changed the username to another username and then logged out and now PLEX can’t find my QNAP.

which username did you change? Please explain further.

The original email was XXXXXX and I changed it to YYYYYYYY, I then signed out (from the sync between PLEX and the PLEX Media Server) and have not been able to get my server to sync with PLEX since.

It sounds as if something is still signed into the old email address.

The normal procedure is:

  1. With server and browser signed into account A,
  2. Sign the server out, making it now “unclaimed”
  3. Sign out the browser
  4. Sign the browser into the new account B
  5. Force Refresh the browser (Ctrl-F5)
  6. It will report an unclaimed server exists.
  7. Claim it.
