Plex channels issue?

Recently upgraded PC running Plex from Linux Mint 17.3 to 18.0. Re-installed Plex Media server - currently running version 1.3.3.3148. Re-installed channels - pretty much all of them (except BitTorrent) have stopped working. As an example - i can bring up the CBS channel - view Primetime shows - see the show thumbnails etc. When i try to play one - it gets up to 33% and then starts over - in a loop. I can go directly to the website from same pc and watch the episode. My personal media is streaming just fine. I have tried installing the Linux Mint multimedia codecs to no avail - i am assuming this is probably a transcoder issue? Any tips on how i should proceed to troubleshoot would be appreciated.

Note - i have tried to stream from other devices (laptop, Roku, Android) as well and getting the same results. Although, on the Android - i am getting a pop-up error message indicating that “playback has stopped because the connection to the Plex Media Server has been lost.”

Same here. I rolled back to 1.3.0 anything after 1.3.0 is broken.

I believe you’re seeing the same problem I reported here. In the first thread, we narrowed the issue down to running the PMS on Linux. At the request of the channel developer, I opened a new report in the Linux forum, here.

Thanks for the replies! My problems have only gotten worse - now unable to stream anything - even local media. Currently running PMS 1.3.3.3148 and even upgraded the OS to Linux Mint v18.1. Will try back leveling PMS to pre - 1.3.0

Same issue here… some channels working but others either show the thumbnail and no episodes within or show thimbnail and show episodes but will never actually stream, justs spins!!!
