I have had a lot of problems with playback on my nvidia shield. On some movies, or in some cases all moves playback pauses all of the time. When I see these problems, I see my server maxed out on CPU, even though its a 4 core i5. One of the things I have done to fix most movies is to revert the plex client on the shield to the factory version. I am at a lost on what to do. it’s very frustrating! I could use some suggestions on how to fix this.,
What are your settings on the Shield for Video and Audio? If the Shield Plex settings are set lower than the file on the server then Plex must transcode the files for the Shield. Everything on my server Direct Plays on the Shield as well as on my Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and my son’s Fire TV Stick at his apartment. The settings on our devices are all set to Original or the Highest video and audio quality.
