Happens with Fire TV as well.
Same here, I have 5 shield tvs and happens on all of them, if you pause it does the same thing and will not resume, probably the only truly annoying bug I have.
Yep same here (Shield 7.1)… I see no official response from anyone involved in the development of the client.
Are they even looking at this thread?!
Perhaps some debug log is available but until someone comes along and acknowledges the reported issue I feel we’re just talking amongst ourselves. 
I can confirm it is fixed on 1.14.0.5465 running on the Nvidia Shield Pro.
I appear to have 7.7.2.7701 on Shield here… is that the most recent? Version number is significantly different to yours
