Every day when I watch tv or a movie on plex, and I miss something important, I click the rewind button to go back a few seconds to hear it again and the streaming device freezes. At this point the video frame is frozen on the screen, no sound, and none of the buttons on the nvidia shield remote do anything. After what feels like 4 minutes, plex will popup on the screen with a error message and a retry button; clicking that it reconnects and starts playing properly again. until the next time I try to rewind again, and it will do it again.
Often when I get tired of waiting for it to unfreeze, so I pull out my phone which has plex, and I continue watching the show on there, which is still frozen on the tv. (which means the server is still online and operational).
Restarting the nvidia shield, helps a little. You can rewind about 4 times before it freezes again, then it will freeze every rewind after that.
This freezing issue happens to me like 3 times every night. Please fix. Logs attached.
Plex server is on a qnap, plex client is a NVIDIA shield. They are connected to each other using ethernet over a logal network.
