Plex closing when screen blanker is activated

Noticed some time back that if I’m watching live TV and I leave a Roku in pause, it stayed that way, with the screen blanker on, all day. Now I pause a show and if I wait too long and the screen blanker comes on, I lose what I had saved and the plex app closes when I try to return. I have to watch how long I wait to return so not to lose my shows. Is this your latest fix to eliminate a device from staying pause all day?
