i have registered for a beta invite to test Plex Cloud service. But i didn’t get a notification mail or the possibility to test Plex Cloud.
i subscribed for Plex Pass Lifetime.
The Plex Cloud beta is still in the initial stage. This beta is unlike all previous betas which were ‘open to all who wish to try it’ is is therefore ‘invitation only’. When it is appropriate and applicable, those selected will receive their email notifications.
The only thing you can do for Plex Cloud is just like you would do with your Amazon Cloud Drive normally. The only difference you’ll ultimately see is there will be no local server running for you. Your server will be ‘in the cloud’.

If I haven’t been accepted into the beta, it would’ve been nice to have been notified in a timely manner…
I do not know many if any, alpha’s or beta’s that tell you “you have **NOT **been accepted into their beta” lol, usually its just either you been invited or hear nothing.
Has anybody who had been accepted know what kind of bandwidth you get with Plex cloud server in terms of upload I only get 38mbps at home that’s the big thing for me
The upload is going to be whatever you currently get with Amazon cloud drive. Plex has nothing to do with that. You can determine that right now without beta access. Frankly, I think the streaming rate and concurrent transcoding are much bigger concerns. The upload only has to occur once and then it’s done.
Ok. Do we know what Amazon is likely to be? Surely if the bandwidth is good then directly play will be fine? Anyone on the beta able to comment whether transcoding is any good in the cloud?
