Many of us are still waiting and waiting and waiting for invite and in the meantime, I think we all would love to hear feedback from the lucky few that are using Plex cloud now.

I’m still uploading, so haven’t shared my Plex Cloud instance yet. So far I’ve had all the issues you heard about (server turning off, not coming on when I ask for it, etc.)
That said, when it works, it has worked very well for me. Takes a bit more time than my home server to start the stream, and even browsing the library can be a bit slower than my Mac mini with a ssd (even remotely), but it’s fine. Haven’t had issues with transcoding.
Good experience so far, can’t wait to see how this scales up, and if people run into dmca issues.
The only thing “missing” for me right now is a way to transfer my watched statuses… Trakt.tv would do, but plug-ins aren’t supported yet.
What I miss the most and keeps it in “just testing” phase so far is I can’t use Chromecast yet, the only way we use Plex. Once that works, I’ll switch to Cloud permanently and don’t think I’ll ever look back. It’s promising to become a great product!

Yup, tried chromecasting this morning… Worked for about 5minutes, then did all sorts of freezing and stuttering
thanks guys , still waiting for my invite . I used to have streamnation.com which worked great till they stoped the project. Hope Plex cloud will be as good as StreamNation was and We will not have any problems with amazon deleting our files lol.

My Plex Cloud keeps turning off. But I already uploaded all my media too the amazon drive.

Definitely not ready fro prime time in my experience. Can’t get a single thing to upload to my Amazon Cloud.

And what ever issue your having has nothing to do with Plex Cloud as Plex Cloud does not upload your media for you.
What tools are you using to upload; Amazon Web client, their desktop app, 3rd Party tools?
What is your upload speed?

There has defiantly been issues but its on Amazon’s side than Plex, Amazon needs to do something about hitting the rate limits. The last 2 days, have been almost nothing but errors w/ uploading due to this.
So in a way @cppearce, does have a point, even though its not Plex directly, it still affects the use of Plex, due to not being able to get your content so Plex can read it. I do not think Cppearce was directly saying it was plex’s fault but more less that people would have issues using it, due to the uploading issues with Amazon.
That’s why I like rclone it keeps retrying until the file is uploaded.
