Plex converting everything to 480p?

I’m seeing a few folks complain about this on the Plex subreddit. My Apple TV connected locally is playing everything in 480p. It’s like plex doesn’t see it’s local and is converting it to smallest file size. Remote connections don’t seem to have this issue.

Can you verify:

  1. the Apple TV Plex streaming quality settings
  2. check the „Now Playing“ section pöof the server dashboard if the Apple TV stream is considered local, remote or indirect
