Plex crashes on MacMini M1 with MacOS Monterey

####Server Version#: 1.25.6.5577

I’ve recently moved to a new machine, set everything up from scratch. Now Plex is crashing every now and then, Crash reports should have been sent.

It seem to help at the moment if I restart Plex once a day so far and I’ve automated this with Deamons. Since I already had a corrupt library-database my concern now is if it could be harmful to my db to restart once a day and maybe someone is using plex at the same time? Would this harm the db? Maybe because Plex is writing to the db during playback or are my concerns unfounded?

Thanks for any input!

No one here to help?

I’m still experiencing crashes (see above). I attached all the crash reports I could find… Maybe @OttoKerner or @ChuckPa could help here to look into this and escalate it to developers?

Thanks!

I have the same issue (M1, Monterey), the UI hangs after waking up from sleep - reloading makes it crash, I can still click on the hanged UI but only for a while until it crashes fully.

For me, even when the Mac mini is setup headless and set not to sleep, any time I disconnect from it, Plex is now hanging. It’s as if some developers removed the code to keep Plex alive on macOS when macOS isn’t rendering to a display. This randomly started happening to me over the past week and is a huge headache. I’m purchasing an HDMI dummy plug to see if that help, but this has been working fine for years…
