Plex crashes when selecting quality?

So i have my new Plex server running on a windows 10 machine, and the everything is fine, except whenever i change the playback quality and it needs transcoding, the Plex crashes immediately.
The play back will start in original quality and goes very smoothly, however, as soon as i select ‘auto’ quality or any other quality that requires transcoding, the server crashes. This happens both to Plex app and web client.
Any idea how i can troubleshoot this?
