Plex Crashing after a few hours

Server Version#: 1.22.3.4523
Player Version#: 4.54.5
NAS: Qnap TS-251+

Since a while (I think about 3 or 4 weeks) My Plex server on my qnap is unusable. It seems t crash after a few hours. Every time i discover that the player can’t connect I restart the server. After restarting I can connect again without any problem. But when I try to use plex the next time it wan’t connect until I restart the service again.
I would really appreciate some help with this.

Would you be willing to do me a favor please ?

  1. Create a shared folder named PlexData. You can place it anywhere you’d like. The next time PMS starts (or restarts) , it will create a link into your QPKG storage to the server internal files for easy access with FileStation.

  2. Restart Plex and confirm you see “Plex Media Server” in the PlexData shared folder.

  3. Now go to Settings - Server - General - Show Advanced

  4. Disable “Report Crashes to Plex” (turn off the uploading)

  5. When PMS next fails, instead of uploading the DMP file, it will keep it local.

  6. I would like you to grab both that DMP file and your normal logs ZIP file

  7. The DMP file is in PlexData/Plex Media Server/Crash Reports/<version>/PLEX MEDIA SERVER

After updating to 1.23.1.4571 the server is running fine for the last 5 days. So my problem seems to be solved for now.

Not sure what it was but if it’s stable, we’ll leave it be.
