That didn’t have an effect because Plex already associated the files and identified them as those already existing/matched items from before.

If you want to force the shows being properly recognized/matched you’ll need to drop them from Plex first (=Plex Dance):

  1. move the 2 folders outside of the folder linked to your Plex anime library
  2. in Plex: Scan library files for that library and wait for it to complete
  3. in Plex: Empty Trash and Clean Bundles
  4. return the folders so they’re directly placed in the library folder (/volume1/Media/Shows (Anime)/)
  5. in Plex: Scan library files
