Server Version#: 1.16.1.1291
I have been running my PLEX server off my HTPC for years (static IP and port forwarding). We share our library with several family members who access through their Roku, and if we are at work we use the PLEX web app. About a month ago I noticed the PC kept randomly disconnecting from the network requiring a reboot, but I was still able to use everything else (Wired and WiFi). The PC could not log into the router but I was able to use my phone or another PC to log into the router GUI. The HTPC was hard wired to a switch going to the router (Asus RT-AC87R )at the time. Thinking it was a cable issue I ran a new cable directly from the HTPC to the router. This did not fix the issue. I thought my network card might be on the fritz but there were two inputs on the motherboard, so I moved it to the other one…No Luck…I bought a new network card…still the issue persisted…I bought a new router (Asus GT-AC5300)…still random drops. All the while every other device on the network could still function, it was just the HTPC that was disconnected from the network. Maybe it’s something else on the motherboard? Bought a new MB, which of course entailed new DDR4 memory as I only had DDR3s and a new processor…and yet I was still experiencing random drops of the same exact issue…
When I ran the network troubleshooter (Win 10 btw) it gave an error of “default gateway not available” and solution was resetting adapter…fixed until the next drop…
I searched and searched for possible solutions to “default gateway not available.”
*reset to factory default the router, uninstalled and re-installed drivers, turned off power management, etc, etc, …
Today I found a plex thread from Nov 2017 with a similar issue, and best I could find

Today we ran a little test and every time we pop our Roku to play a show or log in from the web app, the PC gets disconnected anywhere from immediately to a few minutes later.
So here I am, ready to roll back to a previous version of PMS and turn off automatic updates for a while and wondering if I’m that one in a million lucky individual with the unique configuration that the public release update doesn’t like…
I’ll keep you posted.
