PLEX DLNA PS4 only works over wifi and not wired

Hi guys,

So I’ve found out that using the PS4’s media player with DLNA for Plex only works over wifi and not wired connection. Can anyone help me with this please?

the only reason I could think of right now is that your wireless/wired networks are segregated and that makes your PS4 not be able to reach the mediaserver,

first thing I would check is the IP address of your Server and the IP of your PS4 when on wired/wireless connection.

That does kind of make sense as my modem and router are separated. So I run Plex through the router but my PS4 is connected directly into a wall socket (not the router) which I guess leads direct to the modem in the garage as I have a fibre optic nbn network.

Any way to work around this without having the PS4 connected to the router?
