Plex does not display subtitle type info on macOS

The Plex app on macOS has stopped displaying the subtitle type (SRT, SRT external, etc):

However, the web app does show it correctly:

The iOS app also shows it correctly:

When looking in the Get info menu in the macOS app I found that the subtitles are in the list with the correct information:

The issue seems to be that the macOS app shows the “Display Title” instead of the “Extended Display Title”. This also applies for the subtitle menu while playing the media.

Yes, I also noticed this issue. I hope the development team restores the ability to display subtitle format and source in Plex for Mac. Not showing detailed information is really inconvenient.

might be related:

Plex for Windows shows the same behaviour described here but in addition does not render external subtitles when selected.
Could anybody on mac maybe verify that the external subtitles actually still work? Otherwise I’ll start a new thread for my issue
