Plex does not play movies/series on Samsung - works everywhere else

With the latest update of Plex, it seems that it will no longer play series and movies that played well before. I have no idea why. First I reinstalled the Samsung app, but that made no difference. Then I suspected the media server to be outdated, so I updated the media server on my Synology NAS. That made no difference. I can play the videos on my iPad and MacBook, but not on the TV.

Any thoughts?

My Q80 is having the same issue. Some media was loading fine while others were not. I disabled Direct Play on my client and media started loading with HW Transcoding from my QNAP Server.

I checked the app and saw it updated on April 7th from the App Store. I just updated my QNAP Server to 1.25.9.5721-965587f64 last night (April 10th) but this issue was present before the server upgrade.

Can you try disabling DirectPlay and report back? I’m pretty miffed DirectPlay isn’t working right now in my own house and am also attributing this to the recent update!

Ok, it took a while, but I found the Direct Play option and unfortunately it made no difference. :frowning:
