Just recently music added to my library doesn’t show up. First time I noticed it was adding a various artist album of Christmas music. Oddly it would recognize a single song added to the library but not a group. Since then I tried adding an entire album and there’s no recognition.
Naming is:
Music/The Red Clay Strays/Made by these moments/01 Disaster.m4a
It seems your system has some issues with file permissions.
Your server is notified about the updated files and performs a partial scan of the changed folders – but fails to access the files.
Not sure if this is related to the subfolder compressed in your album directory which also seems to contain the same (named) files and also triggers an update?
There’s also error messages where PMS seems to be similarly failing to access paths delivered by macOS (user cache folders). Are you by chance using some “system cleaner” to improve/speed up your Mac (that might have backfired)?
hmm…the compressed file was removed after the log download and there is no cleaner/optimizer but a scan I just did again located the album so maybe it was just time. Thanks!
