New Windows 10 desktop, if my computer does a restart I have to login by doing the facial recognition thing on my webcam, and if I don’t do it my Plex media isn’t available.
What if it restarts but I’m not around to login? It’d stop everyone I’m sharing with from being able to use it.
Any fixes?
You could try running PMS as a windows service: PMS as a service - General / Tips, Tricks & How-Tos - Plex Forum
Of note - something will not work in this configuration (hardware transcoding, Plex Arcade). You also will not be able to use the updater from within Plex Web, you can download it, but you must stop the service to run the installer.
Alternatively to @Nights0ng’s suggestion (which is a more secure way to do it), you could always set your computer to automatically log in, which would start the Plex server. Only do this in a trusted environment, of course.
