Server Version#: Version 1.41.2.9200
I am looking for help to find out what this strange behaviour I am seeing.
My home server has failed. So instead I am currently hosting plex on a virtual machine on a dedicated server I rent from a IaaS provider. This machine connects to my QNAP NAS on my home local network.
This is what I am finding strange. Almost every night around 10PM the upload traffic from my NAS jumps to 7MB/s and constantly stays up there for hours. Usually anywhere from 20 - 40 GB is uploaded.
I want to find out what is causing this behaviour.
I know it is coming from Plex as while this is happening, the traffic returns to normal as soon as stop the plexmediaserver.service.
Now, I have gone through and disabled downloading on all accounts that have access to my libraries to ensure this was not the cause and I made sure that no one was streaming content when this behaviour is observed.
Can someone please point me in the right direction on what I can check?
Plex is running on Ubuntu 22.04.
Thanks in advance for any help.
