okay, so in past renditions of plex dvr, when i was on my roku 3 or the plex web app, i could delete old dvr’ed episodes. that seems to be gone in the version for centos/fedora. where has that gone and why cant i delete dvr’ed episodes.

i saw an option in the plex server portion that asks if it is okay for plex to delete things. i want to be able to delete dvr’ed things but not things in other directories. is this possible with that option?

The check box needs to be enabled. Otherwise the menu item for deleting media won’t show up in your Plex clients.

If you want to protect your other media from deletion by Plex, don’t give the user account plex ‘write’ permissions to these folders.
