Plex DVR - HD recordings suffer from glitches

Server Version#: 1.13.8.5395
Player Version#: 3.67.1 (not really applicable)

My Setup:
Windows 7 Home
Hauppauge WinTV-Quad HD (Model 1651)
AMD FX-4170 Quad Core processor
16GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7770 GPU
System Drive = Corsair 128GB SSD
Recording Drive = Seagate 3TB SATA
Media Storage Drive = Western Digital 5TB SATA

System built and Windows installed around October 2012. Very Stable.
Windows Media Center records shows just fine. Even up to 3 shows at the same time.
I live ~30-50 miles from TV station transmitters. Using Channel Master +30dB amplifier before any splitters. After one two-way splitter, signal goes directly to PC.

I rarely have any glitches in recording with WMC unless really bad weather.
Plex can record SD shows without problems, but all HD recordings have glitches. Sometimes on a 1080i program, it will glitch every 30 seconds.
And I am using my Server PC and Media Player Classic to play the TS file.

I’ve tried recording directly to the SSD and that didn’t solve anything. And all of this happens even if I am only recording on one tuner with no other activity on the Plex Media Server.

The problem most likely seems to be one of the following:
A) The way it records in segments rather than a whole file like WMC is the problem.
B) Plex is a resource hog in a way that WMC never has been.
C) Some setting is affecting Plex’s ability to cleanly record shows.

A and B would only be solved with an update I think, while C seems less likely the more I fiddle with this.
I have already checked the Transcoder setting, which shouldn’t matter since I am recording to TS file and not converting anyway, and setting it to “Automatic” or “Prefer higher speed encoding” doesn’t resolve the problem.

I’m more than happy to volunteer my self as test subject for the devs while my plex pass is still valid, but
barring some resolution I won’t be renewing the pass at the end of the first month period. No sense paying
for something I can’t really use properly.
