I’m running the latest PMS 1.4.3.3433 in an unRAID Docker container. I was able to set up the new Plex DVR feature very quickly with my HD Homerun Prime, but I keep running into the same issue – during recording, I can see a .grab folder with the episodes being recorded, and shortly after the episode ends, I can see the new folder with the TV show name and the episode files, but within a few seconds, Plex deletes the files. It does this even when a recording is set to keep All Episodes and not delete after being watched. Any ideas?
Do you have any overlapping recordings going on? Try using all of the default settings for recordings and see if it helps. I had issues in the past when trying to mess with the settings too much. Are you remuxing or transcoding them or just standard .ts mpeg2?
There aren’t any overlapping recordings, but I’ve been using all three tuners most of the time since setup. I’m also not remuxing or transcoding or anything – it’s just straight .ts files that are moving from the .grab directory to the proper folder, and then being deleted almost immediately.
I found the DVR forum after writing this, and it looks like people are having issues when the DVR is recording multiple episodes of the same show back-to-back. The problem is that we basically only use the DVR to download shows for my wife that air multiple times throughout the day (often in non-stop blocks), like House Hunters or Say Yes to the Dress. For scripted shows that air once a week we just use Sonarr. The Plex DVR interface is miles better than our old MythTV setup, but the “back-to-back” problem is a pretty serious issue.
I have the same issue with 1.4.3.3433. Some recordings get deleted immediately after completion. I see them in the recording schedule as being marked recorded successfully, but there is nothing to play because the file doesn’t exist (the ones that are actually recorded successfully have a play button, while the ones where the file is deleted do not). I have it set to keep all episodes and am not doing any kind of post-processing (just standard .ts).
I can see I came late to the party. I am also having this problem and I am pretty much setup the same way, except that I set daily news shows to keep 5 episodes, while series I select to keep all episodes. Either way, every show I record seems to get deleted immediately after recorded. The PMS log confirms it:

Advanced Recording Options
Keep and Delete Episodes after watching
“Episodes from the past X days” refers to when an episode first aired. So, if you record the nightly news and choose “Episodes from the past 7 days”, then after the 7th day, older unwatched episodes would start being removed.
Conversely, if you have that setting chosen and you record a repeat airing of an episode that initially premiered a year ago, the episode would not be retained at all (since it was first aired more than 7 days ago).
Tip!: You should really only use the “Episodes from the past X days” options for shows where you’re only interested in retaining current episodes.
