Plex DVR & Live TV stuck on Postcode - Playback Codec Error

Over the summer Plex seems to have broken.

When trying to play videos linked to our media server, we are getting the error:
Playback Error: Conversion failed. A required codec could not be found or failed to install.

Secondly, DVR has stopped working. When deleted and trying to re-add I get stuck when trying to enter the postcode. I am UK based and using 6 letter/number postcode, the icon spins slightly for 1 second and stops but will not let me continue.
Using a Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD in the PCEe slot.
The device seems to work fine when launched without PLEX, and have read a few threads on stuck postcodes now.

Any advice welcome

Suspect that you are running an out of date version at least where the DVR is concerned. Run the latest public version.

Second problem is that some of the Hauppauge tuners have been having an issue with the newer versions of the server.

We are using 1.16.5.1554 version of the Media Server and everything is up to date.

So would you say we need to do down grade to allow for the Hauppage to work again?

Plex Media Server Version: 1.17.0.1841 - up to date

Have tried rolling back to a previous version - no change
Have tried uninstalling and a fresh install - no change

Still having the same codec error and Hauppauge player stuck on Post Code setting.
