Live TV and DVR Wont go past Postal code and language

Using the latest Plex Media Server available, (I updated last night), I went to readd my Live TV / DVR and I got right through all the settings but when I hit Language / Postal Code I put in the code and it comes up blank. Nothing loads. So (Continue) stays greyed out. Didnt have this issue a few months ago with an older version.
Using Homerun HD Prime if that makes any difference.

Is that 1.15.6.1079? If so, I am having the same issue. I have a HDHomerun Quatro. Sounds like I will be rolling back. I have also tried deleting and adding it back in and it will scan and find the channels, but still stops trying to load the guide.

Same issue with my Media Server running on Ubuntu Server.

Same issue Plex Shield 1.15.6.1090, HD Homerun Duo. Maybe something wrong at Gracenote and we are the lucky ones trying to update our DVR’s? I let it spin a long time and got the message ā€œUnable to fetch Guide Settingsā€. It will only keep spinning and get that zip code for certain zips in my area. For other zips, it just stops.

Looks like it is working now…

I am having the same issue with trying to set up my DVR - postal code box just spins and isn’t able to proceed. I am using a SiliconDust HD Homerun extend. My plex media server and HD Homerun both have up to date firmware.

I see this thread has been quiet since May.
Anyone know a fix?

Yeah, I’m having the same issue as well. Seems like using an older version is the solution. Just need to figure out how to do that

There has been a change in DVR EPG provider that came in on 1st July. The minimum version of Plex Media Server is 1.16.

Please upgrade from your current 1.15.5 version to 1.16.5.1488 - the current version of Plex Media Server

Please see release announcements for versions of Plex Media Server starting from 1.16.1 here
Plex Media Server - #270 by emilybersin and going forward to the current version 1.16.5

I’m using a newer version of the media server. It doesn’t accept my postal code.

If I enter the postal code of a nearby town, that works, but when I enter my own, the spinner spins and then disappears, and the Continue button stays disabled.

Is there a way to report problems in the new guide?

Also - I’m using an HDHomeRun and when I enter the postal code of another address in town, there are no nearby OTA options available. The two suggested OTA options are both a 40+ minute drive away (Kitchener, and London) and aren’t really relevant (I’m in Brantford, Ontario).

I just tried a sample post code in Brantford, Ontario and it was accepted in both formats ā€œN3P 1A4ā€ and using the syntax shown in the example in the post code field, ā€œN3P1A4ā€, I got lineups returned and giving me option to choose from

Broadcast TV - Canada London OTA Broadcast
Broadcast TV - Canada Kitchener OTA Broadcast

What is your Post Code ? You can send it to me by Private Message

These are the lineups currently returned for post codes for Brantford, Ontario

Do you have any web site links to Canadian Terrestrial transmitters for your town and any evidence that the London and Kitchener channels do not reach Brantford?

Thank you for sending me your post code. There is an issue with that post code where it is not being found on setup so i will refer that to our provider

Using N3P 1A4 gives you access to ā€œBroadcast TV - Canada Kitchener OTA Broadcastā€ which is very close.

The channels you sent me as ones you receive are

6.1 CIII (Global)
11.1 CHCH
12.1 NBC (Erie)
12.4 CBS
13.1 CTV
19.1 TVO
35.1 CBS
35.2 CW
54.1 PBS
57.1 CityTV
66.1 FOX

There are 2 that are not on the lineup
12.4 and 54.1
Can you check the rest are correct

6.1 Global Ottawa
11.1 CHCH HDTV
12.1 WICU HDTV
13.1 CTV Kitchener HDTV
19.1 CICA TVOntario HDTV
35.1 WSEE HDTV
35.2 WSEE CW+ HDTV
57.1 Citytv Toronto HDTV
66.1 WFXP HDTV

Regarding the 2 missing 12.4 and 54.1, I do not see them listed on the list of available channels for ā€œBRANTFORD, ONTARIO AREA TV RECEPTIONā€ in this list

Do you have a web site page that says these channels are available in Brantford

I am running version 1.16.5.1554 on a windows server 2016 and I cannot access my HomerunHD TV tuner.

I tried removing it an re-adding it when it stopped working and now I am stuck at the ā€œTo download an electronic guide we need to know your location.ā€ Which I provided on the previous page. (It is Sydney Australia)
The continue button is greyed out despite the language being selected.

Previously I never had to configure any XMLTV guide, and frankly from the boxes given I can’t see how this would stay relevant with live TV. If this is need can I get a link to where I get this and how it needs to be configured.

As a PlexPass member I spent a good 50min looking for where to raise a support ticket for this as the whole experience is crippled by the loss of this feature and in frustration am dropping it here as there seems to be no other adequate method of communication.

The Channels app on the Apple TV lists them, and when I select them, the channels come in fine.

54.1 is coming from here:

And there’s mention of StartTV starting broadcasting on 12.4 in 2018 here:

Thanks for your help with this.

There was extensive communication with Australian users before the changeover on the 1st of July and all DVR plex users in Australia were sent emails a number of times.

For Australia the only option now is to use XMLTV for the guide.

Please see these sections on these support articles concerning info this - the first lists the currently supported countries for the EPG

The issue with your post code is still being looked into. Until it is fixed, you can use this post code ā€œN3P1A4ā€ and select lineup
Broadcast TV - Canada Kitchener OTA Broadcast

The missing channels from your list - namely
12.4 and 54.1 have now been added to the following lineup
Broadcast TV - Canada Kitchener OTA Broadcast

I have checked and program data is available for these channels now.
Please go through setup again or Scan Channels within the Plex Media Server DVR Settings page

I’m using the Kitchener broadcast and those channels are added now. Thanks for your help with this!

When will this support be added for Australian PlexPass users?

Plex does not supply guide data for Australia, so you’ll need to provide your own XMLTV guide by clicking on the Have an XMLTV guide on your server? link.

Yes, I had already read the thread and have now set up an XMLTV guide.

It would be more accurate to say ā€œno longer supplies guide data for Australiaā€.

Nonetheless, my question remains unanswered. Perhaps I should rephrase:

Why are Australian Lifetime PlexPass users no longer supported? Why didn’t we ā€˜make the cut’? And is there any intention to provide support for Australia in the future? If so, when?
