when I read about the DVR and live TV integration in Plex I was very excited about hat great idea! I’m using TVHeadend for my TV stuff and recording, great piece of software … but when on the road, it would be perfect to have all in the Plex infrastructure.
But then I saw the limiting on some proprietary products as a receiver device. Why did you ignore open standards, SAT>IP, which would make thousands of clients using satellite technology happy?
To add a little more weight, I also use SAT>IP to distribute HD Sattelite streams thrughout my household. Hope you guys put it on the list. Keep up the good work and innovation!
I agree that SAT->IP is probably the future for now and that a set up should support this, but also this would mean that Plex would need to actually implement all the tuning stuff, QAM, DiSEQ, etc … This could be done by already existing solutions like mentioned in the other threads.
@elan - once you guys are ready, we need special forum for the development related stuff I guess
You vote by liking the thread post. There are detailed instructions in the Feature Request forum. You can’t load this sub forum unless you’re a Plex Pass member sonif the link fails check that you’re logged in.
