Are there plans to support SAT over IP in the future?
My heart fluttered when I read the words “Plex DVR”! So excited as struggling to get a freesat system that integrates with Plex in a family friendly way
Sat>ip would be fantastic in the UK for those of us without reliable freeview coverage! +1 for this from me!!! Please!!
I have a Triax TSS 400 so you can add me to the list for Sat>IP support.
+1 for Sat>IP!!!
+1 for Sat>IP
I’m using DVBLink Server today and would love to have integrated that functionality into PlexServer.
Heh heh, noted
+1 for Sat>IP ( invento iLNB User)
+1 for Sat>IP over Enigma (Dreambox/Vu+)
+1 (Tvheadend)
I don’t like SatIP since I cannot use my CI/Cam module. I prefer support for other backends. (Dvblink, dvbviewer) But of course it wouldn’t hurt to have SatIP support in Plex
+1 for Sat>IP over Enigma (Dreambox/Vu+)
+1 for Sat2IP
+1 for TVHeadend
+1 for Sat>IP
I’m hoping someone line Silcon Dust procude one, but I know that’s been send a million times before
Sat>IP support would be great (OctopusNet from Digital Devices & minisatip).
+1 for Sat>IP
Yes please
Yes please. +1. I have just bought a Triax TSS400, so SAT>IP support would be great. From a business case perspective there are an increasing number of SAT>IP users out there, particularly in Europe. I suspect Germany in particular sells lots of SAP>IP products. Panasonic’s current SAT>IP TVs (or TV>IP as they call it, which has launched in Germany) is an example of another company spotting this opportunity. And as this is a European standard (EN 50585:2014), a Plex DVR + NAS + SAT>IP combination will drive cord cutting across the region! Bring it on!
I can only repeat what has been posted many times now … You can use tvheadend as a Tuner in combination with the tvhProxy by @jkaberg (https://github.com/jkaberg/tvhProxy)… I run this since Beta1 with my OctopusNet A8 DVB-C tuner. It mimics an HDHR tuner and runs very smooth for me after some initial hiccups (I had to “de”-map the channels I do not want by really deselecting them in the non-ticked state during the mapping process.
So:
TVH can work with almost any SAT->IP compatible tuner
tvhProxy mimics a HDHR Tuner and connects Plex with tvh
Map your lineup
Go
That is basically it. There is also forks of tvhProxy for other dvd-projects like VDR etc. Just search GitHub for it or here.
