i wanna have my cable from my tv company running into hdhomerun expand and i would like that to record local Danish Disney XD but on the product pages it says hdhomerun expand dont work with encrypted content and i think that channel is encrypted and so if its encrypted and if it is there a solution i just want to be able to record Local Disney XD with Plex DVR
I use HDHR and have Disney and that channel is encrypted but is not DRM protected.
My HDHR can tune to the disneyxd channel and so my Plex can record from it as well.
In the US at least all channels on the cable providers have become “encrypted” but that does not mean you cant watch it only channels that have additional DRM ontop of that are not viewable like HBO or Starz.
Can you get a cable card from your TV provider or how do you get the channel today?
