Plex Error - Unable to find client profile device (Windows)

Server Version#: 4.8.4 (Unraid)
Player Version#: 1.3.1.916-1cb2c34d (Windows 10)

Ever since updating to the new plex app a few weeks ago, I have been having the same issue over and over despite countless updates.

When watching a show, the plex app will randomly stop the show and I start getting the below error, over and over. The show will never start again, until I exit and restart it. The show will immediately plays until it gets another error.

This was never happening until the big new player update.

The next time this happens, please post the full PMS logs (from Settings / Servers / Troubleshooting).

Alternatively, you can see if the upcoming release of Plex for Windows fixes the issue: Plex for Windows and Plex for Mac forum preview releases

Just tried the new plex player: 1.4.0.924-60046db9

It literally hit the error in less then a second!!!

It doesn’t need a client profile, because it can play anything.

That’s not what the logs are showing?

Any show will randomly just stop, only way to get it going back again, is to exit and restart the show and wait on the error again.
