Someone from the DEV Team needs to step up, there are literally thousands of posts on all different platforms with the same issue regarding the dropping of Remote Access from immediately to after a few hours of connectivity. I’ve been dealing with this issue for just over a year, I purchased a Plex Pass 13 months ago and have not been able to use any of it to its full potential because of regular failures. To be fair, we have all shared ideas and logs, for the most part people have noticed nothing in the logs related to the failures…we need the DEVELOPMENT TEAM OF PMS to step in and get involved in this problem before you lose all your faithful users. If you cannot resolve this it is only fair that you start refunding people for the unusable Plex Pass purchases.
I’ve never had a single problem with remote access, so don’t get all end-of-the-world on us.
What exactly happens? Your server stops showing available after some time? What do you do to get remote access to work again? How do you have the port for remote access forwarded? Are you using UPnP?
I am not getting all end of the world and that’s great for you, I wish I had those results, if you search the forums you will see there are a large number of people seeing the same issues and posting on it, not just me. Ports have been set via uPnP, and manually to 32400, both time same issues. Here is another post with someone having the same issue, more and more posts pop up everyday. I have to manually go restart Plex, I’ve even created a service to start it and scheduled reboots of the server during times nobody would be remotely connected, still have remote access problems in between. Below are just a few of the many strings I’ve been on trying to resolve the issue.
You are summarizing different OS, different bugs, and different platforms!
As such, not useful!
Instead. focus on your issues, and report, with both details and logs in debug mode, right after you have reproduced
