Plex fails to play media

Server Version#: 1.40.4.8679
Web Player Version#: 4.132.2
Roku Player Version#: 7.22.9.9360
Android Player Version#: 10.18.0.968

Plex fails to play most of my media on the web player, no errors or anything, just a spinning wheel. I did clear the cache but no luck. On the Roku, a few specific items gets to 33% on the loading screen then hangs for a while before saying it can’t play the media (direct stream btw, not transcoding - shows up in Now Playing on the dashboard but the bandwidth doesn’t resemble any attempt at streaming). On Android, I get an error after a bit of trying to load these same items. Everything plays flawlessly on our CCwGTV, transcoding and all. The files also play perfectly on my computer over SMB.

I am running this on Docker, CPU is an Intel N100, I have the i915 driver installed and /dev/dri exposed through Docker. Plex shows it as an available hardware transcoding device, and HW transcoding succeeds if I change the quality on the CCwGTV, but I’ve tried with HW transcoding disabled as well. The media is fine, the network is fine, but Plex really does not want to play this media for me on most of my devices. I tried to enable DLNA to see if I could stream to the Roku that way, but the server never even shows up in Roku Media Player. Honestly I’m getting pretty frustrated with it at this point. Can someone help me figure this out?

Can somebody help me with this? I paid for the Plex Pass specifically for transcoding, which is not working, and there does not seem to be any support for this software outside of this forum. Most of my devices can not play a substantial portion of my library. Jellyfin and Emby are working perfectly, and Plex used to work perfectly, so I know my setup is capable of transcoding but something is not working with Plex for some reason.

It is disappointing to find that I’ve spent money on software with no customer support. At this point I’ve migrated to Emby and it works perfectly. Goodbye Plex :-1:

lets start with you trying to play something, provide that name and a copy of your server logs shortly after it fails to play.

To be honest I have entirely migrated away from the platform and deleted the container. There’s no longer any incentive for me to spend time and effort trying to get Plex working at this point so this issue can be closed. I appreciate you trying to help though, thank you.
