I wouldn’t drop it in Plex’s lap if I hadn’t eliminated everything else first.
It’s ONLY affecting Plex, it’s only affecting some files sometimes. I can remove and re-add the shares and Plex will find them. Then on a second scan loses them. I can scan again and some files will come back and some others will go away.
It could be something Apple changed, but then it would affect other things, and if it was something Apple changed, then Plex needs to catch up to figure out why their app is the only one affected.
Besides that, more of my computers that are connected to my network would be experiencing some connection issue, if it’s even a connection issue.
And the kicker is Infuse, which is connected via Plex direct and plays everything on every device regardless if it says Unavailable or not.
So the file is there. It’s an error of some kind because it shows a trashcan saying it’s Unavailable, but when you right click the three dots on the poster for the file and hit Get Info, the file isn’t unavailable. It’s right there. That’s an inconsistency in Plex. And on my Desktop I can hit the trashcan and it will become a play symbol and play. I’ve tried it on several computers on my network.
