A year ago I had been using PLEX for music on my SMART TV. I was using a Synology DS213j NAS. I painstakingly renamed a thousand music files and everything worked great. I moved to another state, everything still worked. I updated to a new PC and everything still worked. I got a new SMART TV and everything still worked. Then all of a sudden I had no access to my music library. After trying multiple solutions on line (dozens) still no scan and in fact the option to add or see a library was no longer available. I went the scorched earth path, removed it from all devices and reinstalled, still no joy. I recently added the server to my W11 PC, now I have the option to add a library and folder, but it will not scan or analyze, just flashes and does nothing. After years of previous happy usage it now has no benefit. What am I missing, the initial set up several years ago was a breeze.

Since you reinstalled PMS, did you map your NAS correctly? PMS is looking in E:\Music. Is that correct?
Can you provide me a screen shot of Windows Explorer showing your music folder?
I shoulda seen that. Even though I browsed to select, I selected an empty music folder. Thank you for your help, it is populating now. I am hoping that is it, not sure why it worked then stopped because of the wrong directory, but it was undoubtedly my fault one way or another.

Here is my issue. NO CONTENT IS AVAILABLE.
WTF?
One minute I had everything. Then I created a new folder on my PC (windows 11/Edge) and tried to transfer my content (that I could watch while it was in one folder) to the new mapped folder… NO GO. Then I noticed my Photos were also saying NO CONTENT. Again, worked previously.
So I decided that I would just uninstall PLEX from my Synology NAS and reinstall it and it should recognize the new mapped folder and photos. NOPE. Now it doesn’t show ANY of my Moves, Shows, Videos… NOTHING.
And now I have to rely on this forum that can’t even respond to why Grid View was removed or have some f%$*k-nut troll answer with crap because they have internet muscles…
I would like some help, because otherwise, PLEX has just become useless to me.
A quick scan of your logs lead me to believe you might have a corrupt database but you’ll have to confirm that with someone
If you’d like someone from Plex to respond you should probably open a new thread.

Is that right, you are running PMS 1.18.5 (From Jan 2020)? That’s really old and not supported. Please update to the newest version.

I will go as far as 22 update. but I wont go past that. plex may be stupid, but I am not.
I’ll not comment on the version as I can fully understand why you might want to stay on a older version. That is your choice so don’t just assume a upgrade will fix your problem, it may not.
Regardless, I believe this is one specific problem you will NEED to fix …

As you are running plex on a Synology you will most likely need to increase the number of folders the plex can monitor (that’s the Notify error) → Synology FAQ - Questions, Answers, and a few How-To's - #22 by ChuckPa
I would fix that first and see if things improve. If not then I’d look at permissions, reclaiming your server etc… If after all that you still have the same problems then a new set server logs will be helpful so the community can assist you. Good luck.
