Recently, Plex on my Fire-TV crashes when I try to play many music files, e.g. a 320 kbps mp3. Others work fine. It used to work before, so may be related to an update in the last few months. I’ve clipped the client and server logs where the crash is happening, but not much there that helps me, a java error about a null object and mention of a truncated stream.
I’ve tried changing settings about quality and playing direct streams, without any luck.
I hope this can be fixed soon! Any help appreciated.
I am having the same issue, and it’s been that way for months, since I first got Plex. But, reading the above reply I see that it is files that don’t have any album art associated with them that won’t play. I grabbed a random pic and put it in the same folder as the mp3s, which caused it to use as album art and suddenly the album was playable. Weird.
