Some things play but other just refuse to, recommend to reboot both the app and pms… no difference…
Turning off the new player has fixed the problem…
Also…
watched status doesn’t update unless you go to another library and go back.
UPDATE…
31 mins into a show the picture freezes… Dashboard shows it still playing…
I can pause the playback on the fire stick and it shows that in the dashboard, and then resume it but it only resumes on the dashboard not the TV…
exit playback and restart play starts at the beginning… FF to a minute before where it froze and continue playback works…
UPDATE
Did it again, picture froze just like before… and it’s 31 minutes from where I started watching after I FF it the last time… Only Five minutes left in this show.
ExoPlayer is V2, and direct play…
UPDATE…
I left the last playback as it was and let it continue to the end. It exit like it would have normally and went to the next playback. I’ll play the next episode and see what happens.
UPDATE…
It played the next episode about 32 mins and froze like before…
I’m reverting back to the last known good version; kepler-armv7a-amazon-stdExo-7.27.1.15203-5c57babb
I just installed the PLEX app to my FireStick 4k last night and I was not seeing any of this at first. The only thing I got was when I was watching a streaming show from PLEX - I got the first bunch of ads and after they played, the show came back on with the spinning circle for about 15 minutes (or so) then it went away.
Not sure what you mean by NEW PLAYER -but i was warned by a co-worker when I went to the FIRESTICK - to always (if it is still installed) UNINSTALL the old version of any app that you install if the system shows that you have 2 (or more) versions installed. He stated that some apps do not do a TRUE UPGRADE - they install a new app beside the old one.
