I recently got a library shared with me, but I can’t access it, instead I only see my own PMS, in the dropdown menu on the TV. Any help is appreciated
Could it be this library is not pinned to your main navigation and therefore only showing under More? If that’s not it… do you see the shared library in any of your other clients (e.g. using Plex Web) – if you don’t… can you confirm your friend did not only make you a “friend” in Plex but also shared that library of his?
Yes on all other devices i have his library pinned

I tried removing my own media server from my acc, cuz I thought the TV is defaulting to only connecting to that. But The TV is saying that the friend’s server is unreachable
In that case best check with your friend if his server actually is down (or having some issues being accessible from outside their own network).

With every device being on the same network as that TV or are there some differences (e.g. all other devices running on your WIFI / mobile network while the TV is on a wired network / different subnet / …)?
Is this an Android TV model of Hisense, using the Plex for Android (TV) app? If so which version of the Plex app – otherwise… what Plex client app are you using here?
The “about” section in settings states that it is running Plex for VIDAA 3.13.14
It is a Hisense 50" B7100
Edit: The TV is connected via WiFi and so is my phone on which i tested the server with
I believe the reason for that issue is that the Hisense app is a pretty dead platform.
This app hasn’t been updated in quite some time (hence the differences in how things are structured there). From what I understood, the app basically connects to a single server and shows the libraries of that server.
The app itself appears to be no longer maintained (no more updates, fixes).
So if you want to have the same Plex experience as on your other devices, you might want to look into upgrading your TV with a modern streaming device – e.g. an Nvidia SHIELD, Apple TV 4K, Roku, some solid Android TV box… (maybe not necessarily a FireTV).
