Plex for iPad have to toggle Remote Control off and back on for each use

Player Version#: ipad latest release

I am using iphone 13 mini plex app latest release and trying to fling to ipad. It works each time after I toggle off and on the remote control switch on the ipad. I’d settle for a way to do it regularly with an automation or powershell script? any ideas?

Same issue here with tvOS and iOS app. Plex on Apple TV 4K (2022) won't announce as player (to be controlled from Plex on other devices)
