Plex for LG, subtitles offset can't find

Client version: 5.52.3
Platform version: 4.9.0

Hello, I read that some users can’t find the subs offset on lg webos, but I couldn’t find the solution.

I can’t find the subs offset feature on my LG tv.
Is this feature available on LG webos? Do I need to change some settings to find it?

Thanks

PS: I downloaded the last Linux version of Plex yesterday, which is running on Ubuntu.

i believe it is only if it is a 4k/UHD model but to get to the setting…

On the Smart TV app during playback press down to bring up the on screen controller then move right to select the vertical dots menu on the right under the time remaining to bring up playback settings. In those settings should be the options for subtitles.

Note the offset only works for external subtitles

Thanks for the response.
My LG TV is 4K. I can access settings. I have the same options in subtitles settings as on your screenshot, except I don’t have “subtitle offset” option at all. Do I need to turn it on somewhere on the server side? Is it some known limitations for this function?

no

it needs to be external text based subtitles and it needs to be direct playing them ( they cannot be burned into video stream via transcoder)

Also if that Burn Subtitles setting in my screenshot is set to “always” then the Offset setting will go away.

Thanks, yes this is it,
my video file has in-built lines with srt subtitles, if I choose to show more subtitles in the settings and choose some other subs - the offset option appears.
It was a bit confusing as if I watch this video file via dlna my TV has the option to offset the subs.

Thank you for the solution!
